During one of the busiest travel weekends of the year B6 1264 makes a wrong turn while taxing to the gate at Boston Logan and almost enters an active runway while another JetBlue flight is taking off. An Air Traffic Controller of "32 years" takes credit for saving the day.

The controller does say to "taxi via 22Right and Charlie into the ramp" but coming off of Quebec the controller does not state "turn LEFT on 22 Right then Charlie into the ramp"....Sure the flight did make a wrong turn but i easily see how this mistake happened.
Oh and Fox 25...what does this being a busy night have to do with anything?
Best phrase to hear at the airport - "All standbys have been cleared and may board at this time"

Quoting nkops (Reply 2): Wouldn't he assume then that he should taxi in the 22R direction (heading of 220) other wise the controller would say taxi via 4L... I'm not a controller, so I am asking out of all seriousness
It's technique. That's the way I was trained in the Navy and use it today at ORD.
