An interesting fact- If CO gained access to Heathrow, Gordon Bethune would schedule at least 2 777s in per day plus an additional frequency or two of a 767, while downgrading the flight at LGW to a daily 764. We have been dying to get in there for years, and if and when we do, we are determined to flood that airport with CO jets!

they are talks for a fifth terminal at LHR which would open up loads of routes for airlines but london itself has many other airports that are able to take long haul flights most of all LGW and smaller airports such as stanstead and luton could possibly start trans atlantic routes. Continental has took to this idea with a summer service from stanstead to newark so it could work for delta, united etc to use other airports situated in and around london.

Just one thing, do you guys (except SA365C1) think of the UK as London only? Or is it just my eyes that none of you know any US carriers flights into other UK airports?
