When you say airliners, do you mean airliners or AIRLINES?

An interesting fact- If CO gained access to Heathrow, Gordon Bethune would schedule at least 2 777s in per day plus an additional frequency or two of a 767, while downgrading the flight at LGW to a daily 764. We have been dying to get in there for years, and if and when we do, we are determined to flood that airport with CO jets!

I thought CAL wanted 6 EWR-LHR flights, plus 3 IAH-LHR flights and the CLE flight switched to LHR.

AA serves GLA in the summer with 767's from ORD.

CO serves GLA all year round with 757's and DC10's.

Besides just changing the amount of airlines allowed to serve LHR, they would have to revamp the cities to allow IAH and CLE to get in, as only EWR is allowed to have EWR flights right now.

Delta also wants Heathrow slots badly, and they would want CVG and ATL to be allowed access, as only BOS has it now. If (When) Delta gets LHR slots, they might add a flight or two daily from JFK too.

I hope for the consumer's sake, LHR is opened up to free & fair competition, but the way things are going, is it going to be able to handle the increase in traffic?

they are talks for a fifth terminal at LHR which would open up loads of routes for airlines but london itself has many other airports that are able to take long haul flights most of all LGW and smaller airports such as stanstead and luton could possibly start trans atlantic routes. Continental has took to this idea with a summer service from stanstead to newark so it could work for delta, united etc to use other airports situated in and around london.

AA ORD-MAN 763 Daily
ORD-BHX 76? Daily
CO EWR-MAN 777 Daily
EWR-BHX 757 Daily
EWR-GLA DC10 Daily
US PHL-MAN A330 Daily
DL ATL-MAN 777 Daily
Just one thing, do you guys (except SA365C1) think of the UK as London only? Or is it just my eyes that none of you know any US carriers flights into other UK airports?  Angry
