The Norwegian minister and department of transportation has today approved the building of terminal 2 at OSL Oslo Airport Gardermoen in Norway. it now only has to be approved by the board of directors at the airport and in AVINOR.

The new terminal will be an extension of the existing one. It will add an adittional 117 000 sq meters to the already existing 148 000 sq meter terminal 1. The new terminal with the existing one will be able to handle 28 million passengers pr. year. The new terminal will handle both domestic and international passengers.

Plan is that it will be finished in 2017 ( Things take time here in Norway. By the time this new terminal will be up, the airport will no doubt be too little to handle the traffic anyway ) Seriouly annoying that people can't take bigger action instd of these tiny tiny steps forward...

The cost is estimated to 7 - 8 billion Norwegian kroner
