With the completion of Compass and Pinnacle [2 ex Comair jets remain] fleets, there remain approximately 211 regional jets to be painted into the new Delta livery.
The Delta Connection fleets are variable with jets transferred and removed more frequently than mainline operations.
This is the best my data base can currently offer of aircraft not yet painted:
There maybe errors here - or knowledge about aircraft which will not see the new livery. Corrections welcome.
Below are those CRJ-200 aircraft which are in Skywest House colours:
N405SW N406SW N407SW N412SW N413SW N417SW N418SW N443SW N465SW N699BR
N947SW N951SW N988CA.
Those expected to be in Delta's new livery [mostly in the previous Delta livery] :

That being said...
I wonder if they will hold off on repainting the CR2s due to the aircraft being parked in the desert (think this is mostly with OH). Also, DL did say that they would be placing FC fitted aircraft on any route longer than 750 miles, so i wonder what is going to happen with those routes?
Two weeks ago is approximately 11th December - the update is December 22nd.
You were correct in what you saw at that time. The paint line has moved on.
Once they are in the paint shop, they are no longer visible in the older livery so are deemed to be "done", as the next time they are seen, they will be in the new livery.

I just saw one of the ex-Horizon CR7 in STL yesterday and although I don't remember the tail I do remember the inside having the old seating configuration. Does anyone know when that is going to change and they add the new first class seats?

We are told sometime this winter Feb/Mar '11, they will get new paint, First Class, (*rumor) new aft larger bathroom*, ACARS, HUD removal & wifi (Gogo).

Quoting MSPNWA (Reply 7): Shoot, as of Dec. 10, there was two left - N634CZ and N635CZ. By the 11th, one of those went to the paint shop.
Sounds like I saw one out of two on the 10th... thinking back on it, I'm relatively sure I actually saw both that evening - one in BNA and one in MDW. That would have been a pretty neat, though wholly unintentional, trick.
I can't decide whether I miss the tulip or the bowling shoe more

Thanks for the info! I didn't know that HUD was an option on the CRJs.

Nice to see the bowling shoe gone, but did 9E's two ex-OH birds in wavy gravy (N455CA, N528CA) get repainted into "Onward & Upward" as well? Can't be totally complete until that's gone, too.
