2 A340 Of Gulf Air To BE Replaced BY 777

I heard this rumour on pprune. But not sure if its true.

Gulf Air have decided that they have excess capacity and so wish to sell off 2 of their A340's and replace them with 777's.

This is the next plan of GF after the leasing of 2 A330's to TAM it is rumoured.

There have been several debates on this issue, but what do you think. Do these rumours sound realistic ?

Further to add to this, GF will be resructuring its routes. Possibly down sizing them !

They can rent out those A340... but add 2 B777 with more capacity?!, perhaps it's just a rumour (or a big deal for Gulf Air, instead of the costs that order can add to the airline, which make it a bad deal all the way)
