DL ATL-BZE...........7x weekly........M88

No more flights with CRJ-200 sustained by ASA [ATL-BZE] on behalf of Delta Air Lines.

American Airlines has downgraded the Miami - San Jose service: 738 2x daily + 757 2x daily.
AA MIA-SJO sent 757 3x daily + 738 1x daily in the last US summer break.

.
Air Canada is operating: AC YYZ-LIR 2x weekly + AC YUL-LIR 1x weekly.
I heard rumors about ArkeFly operating Europe - Liberia once every two weeks as charter flights.

.
Thomson Airways is already operating the Liberia - London Gatwick route:

TOM 0075..............LGW 11:10................LIR 17:10.................Tu
TOM 0074..............LIR 19:10...................LGW 11:50+1..........Tu
Started: November 02nd

It's only a rumor: Aires from Colombia may phase out 4C PEI-PTY 7x weekly. I'll try to confirm later the accuracy on this information.
As a matter of fact, 4C PTY-CTG is not operating anymore.

It's not a rumor, LAN Airlines has decided to suspend all of AIRES Colombia's international flights by January 17, 2011, (except the BOG-FLL route). The reason of the suspension is to increase the fleet that covers domestic routes with-in Colombia. 4C100/4C101 Bogotá-Panamá-Bogotá will soon be suspended as well.

As said by SCL767, all international routes but BOG-FLL will be suspended shortly. What I didin't know was that 4C was operating BOG-PTY, what was the schedule? I heard they were planning it but thought it never got off the ground.

4C PEI-PTY and back is operating on a daily basis by now accoding to amadeus.net.
Bogota - Panama City is a bulky market attended by Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia offering 5x daily flights plus AV BOG-PTY 2x daily -in average-
The product supplied by Aires in Panama City consists in De Havilland turboprops whereas AV and CM/P5 are deploying jet-line services.
The dedicated CM/P5 PEI-PTY also attends that segment offering five flights a week.

LAN is trying to increase AIRES domestic operations and efficiency with-in Colombia, (and soon AerOasis); hence the suspension of all of 4C's international routes, except one. 4C is transitioning over to LAN and certain routes into PTY will be reinstated or launched by LAN's Colombian passenger affiliate(s).

Well, maybe they are enjoying the very high yields that come with demand higher than supply.

Quoting juanchito (Reply 14):
I have heard that Interjet may be back in Guatemala Soon.

Their chairman has indicated recently they are focused entirely on the domestic market. I don't know whether they would make an exception and relaunch GUA. Volaris is more interested in developing an international network, but so far they are focused on the U.S. market considering they have an agreement with WN. The Volaris-TA connection might mean that TA will do all the CenAm-Mexico flights anyway.

I think the conditions are all set for AM to do MEX-GUA again, with higher success probabilities this time. Look forward to seeing AM expand in the region.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

It is not a second daily...it is a second sat flight (making it 8Xweekly). According to the AA staff here it is strictly aimed (to make connections easier) at SEA, Western Canadian, Calgary and the VFR LAX-BZE traffic. CO has done a masterful job at timing its 2 or 3Xdaily IAH flights to make those connections work.

I was on a CO flight in early Dec in which half the plane it seemed like was going on to Calgary.

BTW...AA's Gerard Arpey in enjoying the sun on Ambergris Caye as we speak. Came in yesterday for a week's R&R!

June 8, 2011: ANA announces NRT-YVR-PTY

Most logical choice. CM flying to ORD arriving and departing between 0100h and 0500h, very bad for connections.
Eventually it'd look like CM could leave PTY-IAD to UA so to offer better connections @ IAD. Question is, If UA takes IAD-PTY, would CM dare to fly PTY-BWI w/E190?

One thing is to announce service, the other to start it.
Flying to PTY via YVR is an awfull choice. See how the Canadian visa requirement killed JL NRT-YVR-PTY. Routing via a U.S. airport - however not that attractive . at least mean more people could be able to fly the route instead as many passengers are most likely to hold U.S. visas than Canadian ones.
And IMHO, that NH B787 NRT-PTY nonstop may take-off earliest 2014.
