I was just browsing the FR website & in the drop down menu of destinations I noticed Cochstedt. Now I thought I was well up to date on civil airports in Europe but I never heard of CSO before. Are FR the first airline (or more specificaly the first major airline) to operate from here? Destinations are GRO, AGP, ALC & LPA

Other new destinations include Karlstad, Kristianstad & Skelleftea in Sweden with flights to GRO only.

It was a former Soviet air base in the former DDR. It has a single 2,500m runway and FR will be the first and only operator.

There are innumerable airports, often former military facilities, within the European continent that could, theoretically, host commercial services. CSO is one.
