Nice to see them coming here. Love the livery.

The new T1/LHR East or what ever it is going to be known as is going up very well. Nearly the whole framework seems to have gone up.

Also, good to see the United 747 back in London.

lhr380 : Oh! Was that today!

Post contains images eicvd : Anyone else get the feeling this may just be an April 1st "joke"?
lhr380 : A very bad one if it is. Date is not 01/04 and who would do that as well lol
Post contains links and images eicvd : Well FR are already at it http://www.ryanair.com/en/news/child-free-flights-from-october-2011
LipeGIG : TAM confirmed that LHR-GIG will become 6x weekly eff. Aug 01. Capacity doubled from current 3x weekly service.
hotplane : LHR gets it's first NZ 77W on Saturday when ZK-OKN arrives on NZ002.
Vasu : If it is an April Fool's, it really isn't a good one... I could actually imagine BAA doing this for more £££ in advertising revenue !
hotplane : Just watched the NZ 773 arrive. It looks awful without the stripes on the front.
Post contains images hotplane : One for the people at BA. Noticed this airbridge in No1 base today. It's not connected to the building to the left of shot and has no support at the o

lhr380 : What an interesting place for a jetty. No planes can pull up to it lol No idea who it can aid refurbishment though?
skipness1E : I assume this is why G-BOAB was moved again?
hotplane : Pehaps they can move new seats and fittings from the shed along the jetty and into the aircraft? Thought this had always been done in the hangar thoug
lhr380 : Im trying to gauge the distance it is from the fence. If im looking at it right there is not enough room for a plane to park up to connect to the jet
Post contains images hotplane : Yes. She's now hiding round the corner:
Post contains images hotplane : I think there's just enough room if the aircraft is parked at the same angle as the 757's in this shot. You can just make out the fence.
BA9216C : @LHR380, I will have a look on friday.. but from what it seems i personally don't think there is space for an aircraft and why would you need a jet br
lhr380 : Certainly is an interesting place for it to be.
Glom : Lots of pods running around yesterday. Couldn't see anyone in them though. Also, they try to arrest you for looking out those windows. And also for li

hotplane : An Open Skies An30 overflew LHR at around 1230 today. Anyone happen to see or hear it?
UAL777UK : Really sad news, LHR is screaming out for a direct rail link to feed the west, particularly via Reading which is one of the busiest rail stations out
skipness1E : What? Reading to Hayes and Harlingdon and catch the Heathrow Connect non stop into T1 / T3. Easy as that.
UAL777UK : Nobody wants to bugger around with that! They want a direct train from Reading that will go straight into LHR. Why do you think Reading has a Railair
CPH-R : Open Skies, that's the Russian Air Force project thingie, right?
747438 : Nice to see the Korean Skyteam 777 arrive whilst on break. Looked bloody good.
hotplane : Yes. Flew down the 27R approach at 4000ft before climbing to the northwest. Presumably went back to BZZ.[Edited 2011-04-13 14:39:58]

Post contains images skipness1E : Show me a town that DOESN'T want a direct rail link into Heathrow . It isn't being done as the return on investment isn't there, like much of what ha
lhr380 : Why did a Pullmantur Air 747 just land on 27R??? Fab view of it during my T5C tour.
BA9216C : Could it be a charter for the Madrid vs tottenham football match yesterday?
hotplane : Operating for El Al.

skipness1E : When's the first operational day then?
BA9216C : Great pics, thanks for sharing them. Unfortunately it might be a few months before i get to go to T5C.
lhr380 : May/Juneish. I dont know
UAL777UK : Depends what you mean by traffic. There is only so many planes that LHR can handle so unless all airlines fly in bigger equipment thats a poor arguem
skipness1E : Air traffic. If you put in a railway line like that, it's going to make LHR more attractive overall and drive up volumes. This is part of the busines

747438 : Rumours around at work today that Qantas are moving to T5 along with BA09 and BA11.
lhr380 : Interesting rumour there, had not heard that one. Wonder what will happen to the staff in T3 then? Also, that will mean T5 would be a lot busier then
Speedbird2155 : With all the rumours around at the moment, T5 will be very busy and BAA will have a nice time finding space for all the extra airline offices. So far
lhr380 : Oh yes, the Kingfisher rumour. I was talking to someone about them the other day saying they must be moving to T3 soon as its joining Oneworld and so
lhr380 : HB-IXT just took off from 9R. Nice to see some small 4 engine planes coming in still
robso2 : Thank you for these pics. Great looking sattelite T! Is there news on which destinations will be operating from 5C? Does it have a Galleries lounge?

lhr380 : AA will not be in T5! There is no room, and no space for extra offices and what ever else comes with another carrier being in the terminal.
Post contains images gkirk : EI-DEJ is operating the EI184 from DUB....useless piece of info for today
747438 : Air India are finally moving from T3 to T4. Happening 25th May.
8herveg : Why don't they just keep Air India in T3 until it can move in with the rest of the Star Alliance carriers once Heathrow East is built? Seems silly to
Post contains images skipness1E : By the time T2 opens Air India will be on a completely different strategy, psoosibly having been in STAR, SkyTeam and OneWorld in the interim? All wil
fcogafa : Presumably there is spare capacity in T4 when AIC want to operate, and T3 needs some breathing room until T2 opens. SVA moved over about a month ago.
Bongodog1964 : There's a variation on this at Cambridge, Marshalls built it when they were fitting out BA 744's about 12 years ago. The idea is that it doesn't tie
747438 : Disapponted to see that G-CPET was moved sometime this morning so no longer visible from E2
lhr380 : Noticed that to, all that was there when I went past was a 319. Seems to be a lot of BA LH planes parked up at base today, and next to the white 757,
lhr380 : Anyone know anything about a BA 757 all white operating a domestic service from LHR to MAN within the last month? A mate was operating a flight out of

lhr380 : HUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CHRISBA777ER : A wind up surely???
tristarsteve : for info USK flies its last revenue service tommorrow 29 Apr. Last flight will be BA1441 from EDI It will have the BA logos removed and position down
Glom : No. Go over to the mx area. There's is an A32S of some sort (or maybe it was a 757) in Landor-like livery.
747438 : G-CPET put back sometime this morning
VV701 : On 8 April Astraeus 752 G-STRZ (all white, no titles) operated an LGW-MAN-LGW (not LHR) rotation on behalf of BA (BA2908/09) following an EDI shuttle
jetblast : I really do hope this is true - it would be nice to see Landor returning to the skies again, but I haven't seen/heard anything internally about anoth

hotplane : Saw both USJ & USK depart this evening and both in normal BA livery.
lhr380 : Im working in T3 today and will keep a close eye out going past west base, if there is a Landor bird there my god its been kept quiet!!!
eicvd : I think this comment is key to the mystery, most likely it is G-CPET.
BA9216C : I was at work today. Didn't see anything out of the ordinary. No special landor livery yet... I also seen BUSK just before i left work (around 3pm) st

fcogafa : The Europier will go eventually but its removal does not appear to be part of the initial phase due to open in 2013
BA9216C : G-BUSK just departed heathrow for the very last time. Farewell...
