Hi folks,
I wasn't able to find anything by searching on A.Net forums or Google. What will be Virgin Atlantic's position with the newly merged United, given their history with Continental? I am interested as a VS Flying Club member, looking at future US domestic travel.

If anything the relationship could deepen as SQ still owns 49% and SQ, CO, and UA are all *A members. Just my guess. And yes, SQ is talking about unloading its' stake in VS. Would LH be interested?

There's been talk that Delta could be interested in the SQ stake; if that were to happen, I'd expect Virgin to quickly move from ConUniHound to Delta as their US partner.

I really hope that doesn't happen. Whatever Delta's capital ambitions might be, I don't see them as being a good match, especially from a product point of view.
Another reason for my original question is that I'm not sure what history VS & UA have together. I don't believe there's been any co-operation bwtween them in the past, despite UA having arguably a much longer relationship with SQ, with CO joining *A relatively recently. There's direct competition with UA at LAX, SFO, ORD (seasonal now, or canned by VS?), IAD.
