Today Air New Zealand and Virgin Atlantic Airways jointly filed for the DOT to enter into a code-share agreement.
Based on the application, the carriers plan to do the following:
a) Air NZ to carry VS code on services between 1) New Zealand and the United States, 2) United States and European Union 3) between NZ or US to any 3rd country points that hold open-skies agreements.
b) Virgin Atlantic to carry NZ code between 1) EU and points in the United States 2) EU or United States to any 3rd country that holds open skies with the US or EU.
So Virgin Atlantic moving another step closer to Star?
