MIA Fog = MCO Diversions 1/11/11

I was surprised that no one posted this yesterday.

MIA and FLL had fog early in the morning on Tuesday from about 5:30am - 10am. There were about 20 aircraft sent to MCO as a result

MIA diversions:

Cathay Pacific Cargo 747 from HKG by way of ANC
Lan Peru 767-300 from LIM
Lan Argentina 767-300 from EZE
American 777 from GRU
American 777 from EZE
American 767-300 from GRU
American 767-300 from MVD
American 767-300 from LIM

American 757-200 from SDQ
American 757-200 from EWR
American 757-200 from SJU
American 757-200 from BOS
American 737-800 from PLS
American 737-800 from IAH
American 737-800 from IAD

For a while MIA and FLL was down to 1/16. FLL cleared first though. The bulk of the good stuff came in before it got light at MCO. Although most didn't depart here until at least 9am

Wow interesting diversions for MCO.
I think I have read it once that MIA does not have CAT III ILS because it is so rare for the airport to be fogged in at all.
Anyone know if this is right?
