Hey all,
I started this topic last night, but for some reason and without any explanation, it's not there this morning!

I'm looking for some help/info regarding transitting between terminals at IAH.
We are taking a family trip to Florida soon and part of our routing is YUL-IAH on AC and then connecting on CO from IAH-RSW.
We are arriving into Terminal A on AC from YUL, and from what I can see, we are departing from Terminal C on CO to RSW. We have a connection time of approx 2.5 hours. How long does it normally take to transit between these 2 terminals and how do we do it? Is there a rail system...bus system? What's security screening like?
This is our first trip to the US since we've had kids and our first time in IAH and I want to know what to expect. I'd like to be as prepared as possible, especially travelling with a 5 year old and a 1 year old.
Sorry if this has been discussed, I searched but could'nt find any help.

There is a free underground train that connects all the terminals. It runs every 3 minutes.

DO NOT take the train that SloAir suggested- it's outside security, and really only useful for airport employees anymore!
I got through IAH many times each year, and I'm pleased to share with you that there is Terminalink train service between ALL terminals nowadays. The service to terminal A just started a few months ago.

So, if you're still airside (which I think you'll be... don't you preclear US customs before leaving Canada?), simply follow the sings to the Terminalink.
The transit time, with children, should take 30 minutes if you're in poor health.
I can do it alone in roughly 10.

I love IAH as a connecting airport. I recommend Ruby's Diner in terminal E for good burgers. La Famiglia pizza, also in Terminal E, is also a good choice.

Does the Terminalink run late at night also? I am asking this because I will arrive on US (Terminal A) at 11:50pm and depart on CO six hours later (at 6am) and would like to spend the nigh inside of security in Terminal C/E.

It runs 24/7 (albeit less trips in the overnight hours). As for the OP.... you should preclear Customs/Immigration in YUL so you will just need to walk out of the plane, follow the signs for the TerminalLink, hop on and get off at C.

Thank's for the info.

I guess that's why it's not showing on the Terminal maps on the IAH website. I did see the Terminalink on the map, but it showed it operating to all terminals except A.
Yes, we will preclear Customs in YUL, so if we can stay airside on Terminalink, that would be a bonus.

Thanks again

The TerminaLink station is also on the north concourse of Terminal A where AC is located. So your connection should be seamless.
