Today we of BASA (Bay Area Spotters Association) met at SFO. Several members attended. We had a great day. I thank ILUV767 to have helped me organize the day and all the members that attended. I hope to meet everybody soon again.

LONG LIVE SFO!

I really wish I could have made it but I just couldn't. Anyway, I'm glad it turned out great! SFO is one airport I want to get to know more about and what better way to do that than with a whole bunch of aviation enthusaists and spotters!!! Maybe one of you guys can fill us in on some details. What did you guys do? How many showed, etc. Aircraft tour? etc.

Again, glad it turned out well.
Hope to see you next year!

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

Hey Everyone,

this was a fun gathering. I really enjoyed the addition of having photographers with us. Ben Wang, and Richard Sillagi (Sorry Richard if I spelled your name wrong) were there snapping pics, and talking about photography. Richard brought his daughter.

Superfly, 777-500ER, ILOVEA340, EIPremier, imkeww, Richard and Ben along with me were there. This was our lowest turn out for a gathering.  Sad If you came, and did not find us, I do apologize. All together, I felt that everyone had a good time.

We did not get any aircraft tours.  Sad Maybe next time. Some of the planes that were photographed was the Sun Country 737-800, the Vanguard MD80, Midwest Express Md80, AirFrance 744, Japan Airlines 744, Northwest 742, KLM Asia 744, and the Virgin Atlantic 742 to Gatwick. Keep your eyes out for some of those photos.

At the gathering, we talked, had lunch, and took pics. We also headed over to where DeltaSFO was working.

We should be having another gathering shortly.

Happy Spotting,

Excuses excuses, well, my car was in the shop, but I really wanted to be there. Keep us posted for the next meet, I think a control tower tour would be the coolest thing ever *hint/wish*

But either way, let me know before school starts again, and I will be there.

I wish I could have come out. I was actually at the airport around noon yesterday, but I was picking up some guests who flew in from MSP on SY so I was unable to meet up with everyone.

Superfly,
i actually intended on going to this one, but I had a little drama, and forgot all about it.

(I know there are people who want to give me a tongue-lashing in person.  Big grin )

Believe it or not, I still haven't seen the international terminal yet. Damn software engineering job. I just don't have the time.  Sad At least I live under the runways.  Smile

It's hard to get tired while you look at planes and enjoy your hobby.

ILOVEA340:
Pat, let's meet this week. We'll take a "lounge" tour around SFO. I really wanna see the Red Carpet Club.

Unfortunately, due to family being down here in the Bay Area I couldn't attend.  Sad

I'm hoping we have another one real soon for us who just missed the last one.

Hello fellow Spotters!

The BASA staff and I are going to be working on creating a newsletter for spotting here in the Bay Area and northern california.

If you would like to join the BASA mainling list, please reply with your email address. Im making up an official list. I'll give more details to those who are interested via email.

Stay tuned to the BASA website, for more information. Well, sort of...Kai, the PR Director and Webmaster for BASA is in Finland, and I do not have access to update the website at the moment, but when he gets back, make sure that you check it often for spotting information, as well as airport information.

Happy Spotting!
