Different Emergency Exit Procedure CRJ100 Vs 700?

Hello everybody,

I noticed that airlines tell pax evacuating via the overwing exits of CRJs to behave differently, depending on whether it´s a short (series 100, 200, 600) or long (series 700) plane:
On the 700s´ safety cards, the escape path directs pax to leave the wing towards the plane´s REAR; in the short versions´ cards pax are instructed to leave the wing towards the a/c´s FRONT. Why?

(On a side note, this forces airlines operating both types to have different safety cards.)
