SFO Term. 1/South Terminal History (question)

The mid 1980s saw a "South Terminal modernizaion project" at SFO that included Pier E (former AA concourse) being demolished and subsequently rebuilt for DL.
Does anyone recall specifically when this new Pier E first opened?

A slide from 1/85 shows PSA using the old pier; a slide from 4/85 of a Horizon F28 shows construction in the background that I think has to be that pier.
