I'm flying from PHX-SLC on an America West A319 and am seated in 8A. Is this before, right at leading edge or directly over the wing? I've tried to move my seat foward but am unable due to those seats being blocked for frequent flyers. I've asked several reservations agents and even one AWA supervisor and they tell me this seat is just before the wing. On the seating map of a UAL A319, this seat appears to be in the center of the wing. Thanks for any info about my seating assignment.

Your seat is immediately in front of the emergency exit. Therefore, it doesn't recline. Although it's over the wing, you still get a pretty good view over the front of the wing. If you check in really early, you may be lucky enough to get a better seat.
