Mexican Jet Skids Off Van Nuys Runway

On Friday afternoon a jet belonging to the Mexican National Police overran runway 16R at Van Nuys airport.

The aircraft carrying 3 enroute to Tucson AZ, aborted its takeoff running approx 110ft off the end of the 8,001ft runway into a dirt area.

There were no reported injuries. (maybe some hurt ego’s)
