Maybe.. but CAK has really proven itself as an airport people want to use and will chose to use.

I agree! I sure hope (and think there is reasonable chance) that Southwest considers CAK as their airport for that region.

Considering WN is in PIT, CLE and CMH I would be surprised if CAK survives for the long haul, no pun intended.

I agree, WN has no need to add more destinations in the NE Ohio region. CAK will be lucky to survive. YNG has no chance with them. More expansion from Allegiant and a connection to a legacy hub is the way to go.

Anyone know if the airport is getting closer to attracting new service to a hub? There was news last year, but I have not heard anything in a few months.

They are working on it. They are still in deep talks with United/Colgan and also talking with American at last report.
