I recalled seeing on this website that there are three EVA AIR B77-300ER 'parking' at Boeing field await delivery and the reason was the seat installed was not proper or safe (The infamous Japanese company which forge the test report) My question are, have these aircraft being finally delivered? What changes had been made to the seat? What about existing 777ER that are operational, are they safe or what will be done to them? Did not hear a lot about this subject in Taiwan. I think EVA badly needed the aircraft, though not for long distance, but certainly for the increased traffic to China mainland. 777-300ER is a great capacity help to EVA AIR.

All three aircraft finally left PAE between late-November and early-December 2010 - check the archives of http://kpae.blogspot.com/ for photos and videos of these aircraft.

Except the biggest thing they can fly out of TSA right now is a A332 which is why they are getting some A333s as the 77W is too big, ok for TPE but not TSA.

I must have missed the news about BR A333s. Do you know how many and when they get them?

When passing through TPE last month I saw 3 77Ws outside EVA's hanger...all looking brand new and spotless, however one was engineless. Wish I could have gotten reg numbers, perhaps these were the 3 that were sitting at PAE?

Are BR's mainline China flights restricted to TSA?

Actually, all TSA flights to mainland China are now restricted to SHA (and the only other international destination being HND); the rest are out of TPE.

Looking at ACARS reports from January, only B-16715 is in service. As of February, B-16716 is now also in service. Not sure of the delay in to service after they were flown from PAE ? It looks like B-16717 is still not in service.......

B-16717 is still sitting by the hangars engineless, beginning to look not so clean and shiny!

Appreciate all the update but can someone confirm what is the status of the 'seat' problem. I suppose they had been fixed but does that means all the seats that were delivered were safe??
Wow, I did not know that EVA is leasing some A333, that would be very interesting to see (plane spotting that in Taiwan) Does any one knows the exact operation date of these leased aircraft?

Why would they take engines off a brand new plane which was just delivered??
