MA has finally painted HA-LQD from the "hybrid" SK-MA livery to the long rumored "special scheme", and boy what a great paintjob it is!!! Retro livery to celebrate 65 years of MALEV history, Congratulations!
Thanks for Ferenc Hamori for uploading his beautiful picture to the database:

She looks great!
Very stylish and attention grabbing scheme.
But what happened to MA's original plan for -LQD? MA made a big P.R. campaign to solicit design ideas form the public and from what I remember they even choose a winning colour scheme. Why did MA abandon that competition? Or is MA planning on using the winning design on another aircraft?
PEET7G, do you know is MA is going to finally paint on of its B737s in the OneWorld livery this year?

Very nice and sharp but... did anyone noticed how the dark blue fuselage line at the front (below the front cockpit window) flows and looks wobbly and poor. Is that an error or painted on purpose: that doesn't look nice at all.
I don't think we can take anything granted, but according to the ones behind the MA facebook page, the Oneworld 737 will be next, and when financials allow then they will revisit the winner color scheme. According to my info, from others in MA, the winning "special scheme" will be applied to a DASH8 sooner or later, but it is very likely that not this year. (well definitely not until this summer end)
However the MA Oneworld scheme is due to be made pretty soon.

This looks far better than their current livery. However, it needs to be painted on a non-RJ aircraft to be better appreciated.
The 747: The hands who designed it were guided by god.
