Obviously royalties and licences have to be paid and these are generally scaled. i.e more recent releases will be more expensive.
Proud to fly from Manchester!

I am curious if there is a per view charge, or just a blanket charge. If the latter, I am very curious how the charge is based- per flight, number of monitors, number of passengers, etc.
On airlines like UA, where the films and audio simply repeat on their respective channels vs. airlines who have AVOD, where it is rather simple to track the statistics of a particular viewing, I am curious how the costs are based.

I just returned from a long haul on United in a reconfigured 747, and watched a couple of movies and 50 Rock!
How much does an airline pay to run a movie on their IFE system? Is the price also scaled for more current "blockbusters" than for a movie nobody has ever heard of, a classic film etc.
Reconfigured J/F or did UA introduce a new Y product with PTVs?
It's a cultural thing.

None of the 747's will have PTV's in Y so it is just the overhead monitors/LCDs.

I was in first class on United. With AVOD. I thought coach was getting AVOD at some point?
The world is missing love, let's use our flights to spread it!
