There are a couple of plans that I am aware of....Family Air flying 747s to LAS (ok, sure..) and Baltia with 747s to Russia (yep, don't see that one either.) There is also National Airlines (Murray Air changing their name and adding people charters.)

Are there any other airlines out there that are in the building stage? Anyone that has gotten past the, "I've got a great idea for an airline!" stage?

How can an airline start up at an airport with a ruwnay lenght of 5000ft (useable runway lenght of 4600ft). It is a beautifull little airport, but come on now.

Why not San Diego? its 20 miles away

Hardly a start up airline since Murray Air has been operating cargo flights under the National name for a few years now and the airline itself was started 25 years ago. The passenger charter plans just required the airline to get some additional certifications in addition to the ones it already had.

Any chance you have an "inside" email address for anyone at CP? Trying to get my resume into the right hands.

Well, at least until recently, it looked very promising:

What about REDjet in the Caribbean?

I remember some time ago there was a few threads going around but I haven't heard any news lately.

Because they are using E170s and all segments are under 500nm which require a runway of 3700ftish
