The link didn't work. Are the 757s in WS livery? I assume the aircraft are charter owned and crewed?

*through the magic of Google, I've answered my own questions: The North-American supplied and crewed airplane has 'WestJet' titles on the fuselage and tail, but not the teal & blue scheme on the vertical stab that the rest of the fleet sports.

This will do well to keep those Hawaii flights from the west coast competitive (read: low).

The nice thing about a mistake is the pleasure it gives others.

...the only other non-standard paintscheme. This was for 6 months, so the tail did get painted. Pre-800 days, before Westjet bought their own.

the westjet title on the vert stab is the name with the teal blue and white just writen up along the leading edge.

Really needs more color. Is this interim?

Just log into your facebook account and access the pictures that way... neither of the links seem to be working.

Why on earth did they decide to paint the whole aircraft as per their normal 737 livery but the tail is something completely different?

I'm assuming because of the length of the lease time.

The 757's are only here until April, if I read correctly. They were lucky to have an all-white fuselage!

It's a short-term lease and according to WestJet, it's going to cost more if they painted the 752 in their full/regular livery. It looks good IMO.

It's a cultural thing.

Ah, wise decision then. Are they leasing it to test it out for possible future fleet enhancement or whats the reasoning?

They compete with AC's Boeing 767's on these routes, I do believe. Plus, they need the capacity. as the only alternative to AC on a lot of routes, they certainly are being tested to stray away from the one-type aircraft fleet...be interesting to see what next season brings.

Painting the entire aircraft white is easy. Then you take four standard decals, two on the fuselage, two on the tail, you have your livery, no need to set up and paint the entire tail for a lease.

For those who want the individual pics, hopefully direct JPG links should work ...
