CGK-LAX : Most Direct Flight?

Can someone tell me what is the most direct and the shortest time flight from Jakarta to LAX ?
I heard that Garuda is no longer flying to LAX and if I am right they used to have a nonstop to HNL and continue to LAX on MD11s. They dont have the MD11 anymore tho.

HI Parisien,

Yes its true GARUDA suspended service to LAX in
Oct 97. That flight did operate JKT/HNL/LAX with
a MD-11 among other aircraft. Your best bet now
would be either SQ or through TPE on CI or EVA,
Maybe CATHAY through HKG.

Probably CX, EVA, JAL, or KE. One stop each before continuing to LAX. SQ has two stops so it's probably longer.

I am presuming you will travel on one airline all the way through: The three fastest routes, based on their summer schedules and timings from origin to destination, are close:

Eva Air takes 21 hours exactly
Jakarta-Taipei 5hr05 on BR238
Transit in Taipei 3h35
Taipei-Los Angeles 12hr20 on BR16

Cathay is faster at 20 hours 15 mins
Jakarta-Hong Kong 4hr35 on CX776
Transit Hong Kong 2hr25
Hong Kong-Los Angeles 13hr15 on CX880

Fastest by a whisker is China Airlines at 20 hours 10 mins
Jakarta-Taipei 5hr10 on CI678
Transit Taipei 2hr35
Taipei-Los Angeles 12hr25 on CI008
