United Hemisphere Magazines March Issue

Is anyone aware of the reason United has said to not load the March edition of Hemisphere magazines into the seat backs of the planes this month? They were disseminated out to the stations but then told employees not to load them, just looking for the reason? Misprint, or maybe an ad issue? Perhaps a CO/UA dispute now that things are starting to come together?

The rumour I heard was that they misprinted the magazine with the old UA logo ie , the double "U" ( often mistakenly referred to as a "Tulip" ) rather than the current UA logo .

They've been on the four CO and UA flights I've been on this month... first I've heard of it.

I've looked through the March issue, they have the CO globe all throughout it...but that was my initial thought as well.

They shouldn't have been. On all the flights I've worked this month I have yet to see one come in loaded with the March issue.

I think that you mean "the UA globe"

Very interesting...seems to be a mix of March issues throughout the system? Has anyone on strictly UA or UAX flights seen them?

Sunday on UA from ONT to DEN the March issue was on board -- All major print ads were the new UA Globe logo the only Tulip was in the back of the magazine in an old Mileage Plus MIles logo. From DEN to BWI, the February issue was on-board. Maybe the problem with the March issue was the fact all the Suduko puzzles seemed to be "hard" instead of the normal three levels of difficulty?   I also which Hemispheres would expand the UA issue to include the aircraft fleet descriptions like the CO issue, which is very informative.

Flew SYR-DME this past weekend via ORD (UAX) and FRA (UA). The SYR-ORD (operated by AX) flight had the February Hemispheres, whereas the ORD-FRA leg had the March Hemispheres. I figured it was just the UAX folks being behind the curve until I saw this thread. The FRA-DME leg had the current issue of Lufthansa Magazin, of course

We received the "new" shipment of march issues in yesterday. Took the one we were told not to load and the new one and flipped through both page by page. The only quick difference we could find was at a full page UA ad towards the back the blue new UA globe page is purple in color. However, I cant imagine they would re-print and re-send that many magazines just for one faded coloring of one page.
