I was looking around on flightarrivals.com and I came across a Delta flight from JFK-Lyon. I'm assuming that this is Lyon France. Anybody know what equipment is being utilized? Is this charter or scheduled?

Thanks in advance, Jake

Delta 28
5:45 JFK -- 7:25 AM (+1) LYS
Boeing 767-300

This is daily scheduled service. AF also puts their code on this flight as a codeshare.

It is a scheduled flight using the 767-300.

This flight is being scrapped soon due to low yields and the frequency is being reallocated to BOS-CDG.

Hi CleCo,

It is a scheduled Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300ER. It arrives at LYS at 7h25 a.m. providing good connections to other French cities via Air France's Lyons St. Exupéry hub.

Regards,

F+ Rouge

Yes, too bad. Rather than persevering, Delta is dumping it. Of course WE (AF) couldn't offer such a route, because it would "undermine" our "fabulous" hub at CDG.

Or something like that.

Hello AF007,

The reason is very simple; it would be highly uneconomic to base a widebody out of Paris (with just one single exception being the A340-300 based at PPT).

Moreover, it is true it would have made no sense to make LYS the French pendant of MUC because of the large capacities of CDG.

Best regards,
Alain Mengus
