a) The biggest airline of the World? Technically, it's American - but since they operate as two companies at the moment, it may still be United Air Lines.
b) The most profitable airline of the World? British Airways - up until recently - so BA and DL are both up there
c) The largest Intl. route network. Delta has the largest Transatlantic network, with British Airways having the biggest International network, largely because most things from the UK are international.
e) The biggest airline of Africa. SAA
f) The biggest airline of South America. Varig
i) The biggest airline of Europe. British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa - not sure of the order, however.
j) The biggest airline of North America. See the answer for Number One.

Southwest airlines profit for 1st quarter 2001 was US$121m, so assuming a smilar profit result for remaining quarters, looks like SQ still in front by a long way!
