This will take affect September 25th, 2011. It looks like these routes are being cut because of higher fuel prices. With only two GUM-NAN a week and HNL-NAN only once a week. These two routes probably don't bring in enough revenue in to keep flying them.

The largest market of passengers for the GUM-NAN segment coming from Japan I'm not surprised, I'm sure there may be other cuts in the wake of Japans crisis.

The HNL-NAN market may not be big enough to handle more than two airlines. I'm not even sure if NZ flies the HNL-NAN anymore. But Air Pacific uses a 73H on the route several times per week.

I don't things are very good these days in Fiji.

Air Pacific has reduced its LAX service from 6x weekly to 4x. (supposedly goes back up to 5x for July-August).

Doesn't surprise me , Fiji has been a basket case for years and tourist numbers have been struggling , the Japanese earthquake on top of everything else had to be the final nail in the coffin , although personally , I think the service would have been pulled with or without that tragedy .
