I think Virgin in Australia also received their first all white ex-EK A330-200 recently. I would think they would be going through a similar process as well.

This aircraft was at NCL around 1715-1730 on Monday 21st and will be returning on Wednesday 23rd as part of the crew training. I don't know whether they are doing go arounds or full stop's as I only saw it mentioned on the plane-finder app for iPhone.
Funnily enough I'd been spotting at NCL that day and managed to catch Gulfstream N595E which was carrying Enrigue Inglesias. I left not long after this and then G-VSXY arrives...... just my luck

And also looking forward to the cabin pictures! Wondering if they are anything to do with the new Y-seat trial VS had a couple of years ago
I know PE is the same as the current leather seats, just with the better IFE.

So is it clear yet, how many of these birds that VS will be actually getting as some of them are being leased straight out to other airlines aren't they?

I read the paint used on the 744s was peeling like mad, and they had to change the paint/methods in which it was applied.
The glossy paint was indeed peeling off. I keep seeing them at LGW and a couple of the 744's were starting to look very messy with large chunks of paint missing from the tail.

In fact, out of the first 5 to be delivered, 3 are going to be leased. The final 5 aircraft are due to be delivered straight to Virgin next year and the ones that are leased to CI will return to VS once the update to the Upper Class Suite is finalised.

As Virgin are up for sale and not a single B744 or A340 has been repainted in the new colours since August last, rather a lot can change between now and then. Perhaps they're just looking for paint that doesn't fall off after a fortnight...
I saw four B744s at LGW South last week, three different colour schemes and G-VBIG in the oldest version was the cleanest whereas G-VXLG in the new colours had paint falling off the fin and engines !

So VS has decided to go for the red color as seen on their first A333? Too bad as I liked the glossy red paint. Now nothing is nice of their new livery in my opinion. The only thing I liked was the glossy red...

25 oly720man: Ah. I was struggling with airports beginning with 'M'. I never thought that far south.
26 Daleaholic: VS have had some pilots flying with TCX out of MAN on their A330's as training. Doing the long hauls.
27 LGWflyer: Ahh so thats what it's upto then. Saw it takeoff from LGW this morning, tbh the VS A330 looks quite good in person.
28 MWHCVT: She is quite a stunning beast, conditions were really bad today but had to take my mum upto EMA so thought that I would go and spend some time taking
29 HeeBeeGB: I am personally not a fan of the new titles on the 330 (I have seen them on a 744 too and still not impressed.)
