I was just browsing the Ryanair website and notice that they'll be switching from Venice Treviso to Venice Marco Polo airport whilst Treviso has runway work between June and 30th September. (Much more convenient for Ryanair passengers if you ask me - they should be thankful!)

Then I noticed that in their latest sale, they're offering flights to both Treviso (£9.99) and Marco Polo (£20.99) from various airports, and labelling the latter as a NEW route. Upon inspection, as expected, this new route only runs from June to September.

I wonder if you can book to Treviso during this period and get the cheaper price?

Well, technically it IS a new route...just not by their choice and not permanent

I must imagine 99% of people won't even notice the difference as far as "hey I booked Marco Polo, the guy next to me booked Treviso for cheaper, and we ended up at the same place at the same time". Ryanair is full of tricks...just add this to the list.

It is about being a smart consumer. Maybe they can add a "pick what we call your destination fee"

Don't FR have to fly you to where is says on the ticket.

If they sell tickets to Treviso, knowing that they can't deliver, is that legal.

If they fly you to Marco Polo, when you booked Treviso, can they charge you extra, (either an upgrade to the Marco Polo price, or an amendment fee).

You can't book Treviso flights whilst its closed; you are automatically redirected to Marco Polo flights.

Yeah, well, if it proves popular and higher-yielding you can bet your a$$ it'll be permanent.

Just tried, it seems that you can't select Treviso in that period, it warns you and then switches you to Marco Polo.
