Looks like he was planned nonstop to Brazil....pulled the throttles at 1250 and started down from cruise...had climbed from fl350 to fl370 at 1130...and within 20 mins of starting down was under 15k and on the ground 44 mins after starting down. Flt Aware does not show the stop or a new flight plan being files as yet.....so figure unplanned. He could have come down a bit quicker...so probably not a full blown get it on the ground deal. Would suspect a mtc issue but also possible a pax problem (medical?).....neither not critical but needing to stop at first landfall on flt path....
(just noticed he turned towards SJU at 1225 and sped up before descending at 1250....dunno if in a hurry or trying to burn fuel down for landing)
