Can anyone provide any further info on this? I just read that there is a quasi-new airline supposedly starting up this fall, USA 3000 airlines, which will fly on behalf of Apple Vacations, using A320 equipment.

Canada 3000 operates charters from Newark on behalf od apple vacations, but I think this year apple is leasing it's own A320's and is doing kind og a joint venture thing with Canada 3000. But I am not sure of the details.

Apple Vacations have previously only wet-leased their A320s during the peak season from UK airlines such as Airworld and JMC. From now on, they will operate most of their flights on USA 3000.

They already have a webite that's been up and running for a couple of months now.

The name USA 3000 was chosen because Apple Vacations have a small shareholding in Canada 3000, hence the similar name. AFAIK there will be no operational links between USA 3000 and Canada 3000, and they will have completely separate liveries.

Well it's an ugly colour scheme but still nicer then C3's..maybe they should take a hint and change theirs too, just without those flags.

USA 3000 is owned by Apple Vacations holding company-- that comes from the National Sales Manager for Apple in Elk Grove

Yes, that is an Apple-East bird. Apple-west is the one with the JMC Airbus A320s. You'll see them at ORD all the time. They also use Transmeridien for a ton of charters as well.

Apple Vacation's operations are VERY unusual, as Apple-East is the original hdq of the company, but Apple-West handles everything west of the mississippi less Chicago/St. Louis/Milwaukee.

http://www.applevacations.com has a pic of the aircraft on it.
