Just got this ruling via email today. Now we have to vote on a new union at the new UA.

Just out of curiosity, what are your opinions of the two unions?
I know of the rhetoric we get when it is a non-union vs union discussion, but this will be a union vs union fight, correct? Will the unions play as dirty against each other as they do when management is the enemy?

Personally, and this is my opinion only, i don't like either union. It will come down to which lesser evil do you want in. Like voting for elected officials. Just have to weed through the crap and hope the one younwant in will benefit the majority, not just themselves.
The unions will pit themselves against each other and spin what tales they need to, truth or not, to stir their voting members to vote for them.

Interesting. Is this because you don't care for unions in general or just these two particular unions?
Do you have opinions of these two specific unions or you haven't started the comparison evaluation yet?

Unions are what they are. A necessary evil, it seems. I just don't care for either the IAM or the AFA. If they would just be more open, honest and make it seem they care about their paying dues members, as opposed to themselves, I would have a different opinion. It's why it is a vote of the lesser of two evils.
I have started the evaluation, I would like to see the best of both worlds be brought to fruition. There are things at. CO which are great, just as there are things at UA that are great, too. Just as a whole, not so much.
I just hope we all get the right information and the truth from both sides. Sometimes it seems like that is asking for too much.
