Sauda Arabian @ EWR

Over the last few days I've seen three different Sauda Arabian planes at Newark. On Friday they brought in a 747-200, Saturday a L10-11 (sigh Smile ), and yesterday a MD-11. Last I heard they do not have regular service into Newark. Does anyone have any information about why they are bringing their planes to EWR! They do have one of the best liveries out there!

SV Planes are often use by their King and it`s family, maybe he was on an shopping tour to NYC.
Also the Kings private Planes have the same livery.

The Saudi Arabian royal family/government has many planes, operated by Saudi Arabian Royal Flight with SV codes :

2 707-300 HZ-HM2 & 3
1 727-100 HZ-OCV
1 737-200 HZ-HM4 (old colours)
1 747-300 HZ-HM1A
2 747SP HZ-HM1B (Mobile Hospital) & HZ-HM1C
1 757-200 HZ-HMED (Mobile Hospital)
2 MD-11 HZ-AFA1 & HZ-HM7
2 Tristar HZ-HM5 & 6

and many C-130, Gulfstream, Falcon, Learjet.

They also have an A340-200 HZ-124 and a 707-100 HZ-123, but in all grey colours.

IIRC, there was an AIDS conference at the UN sometime last week and perhaps he attended. He uses so many planes to transport all of his staff and equipment. Also, I do believe that his family does not fly on the same plane as him, for safety reasons. Or is that (the deceased) King Hussein that I am thinking about?

at New York. They need a BIG aircraft to fill all the stuff they buy!

They might bring some secruity guards along with the King or Prince.

OCV isnt operated by SARF, neither is HZ124 or HZ123 (Which I actually understand is grounded) or any learjets. And where did you get the information that HM1B is a flying hospital! (look at its tailnumber history)

HZ-HM1B is listed as a Mobile hospital in the new JP.
To my knowledge there is no HZ-HM1C. Where did this info come from?!?
The other Saudia vip 747SP is HZ-AIJ.
