OK, I think I found it.
If you were referring to the last photo in the Sint Maartin approach series, I believe the 'contrail' is actually a cloud in the background.
On the other hand...I think the photos of the Ste Maartin approach from the cockpit and the beach were great!
I actually saw one once (low altitute contrail) in '93 the day Pittsburgh got to -22 F. The plane had a really funky sound as well.

I hope you got the link right, it's indeed the http://tffg.decollage.org. Then proceed to 'approaches' and then 'St Maarten'. The site is in french only but delivers some very interesting pics. See you liked 'em too -)
With the contrail remark I was jokingly referring to the smoke trail left by the burning reactor, a bit misplaced in view of the tu154 crash but didn't know at the time.
