As I mentioned in another thread that I'd put up a order tracker for the other manufactures besides the big two. Here are the ones I have so far, I'm also going to try and get in contact with Viking this week and see what they've got this year, if anyone has any additions etc please let me know hopefully with a myriad of people putting their heads together we can get a really comprehensive list.

Thanks again for the help folks, and thanks to Paul for the base list.

ATR

Firm
Caribbean Airlines - 9 ATR 72-600 (2/1/2011)
Lion Air / Wings Air - 15 ATR 72-500 (2/25/11)
UTair - 20 - ATR 72-500 (4/7/11)

Pending
Aviation PLC for 18 ATR 72s for Virgin Blue (Not sure if all are new, or used, if anyone has any information it'd be really appreciated.)

Bombardier
Porter Airlines - 2 - Q400NG (3/29/2011)
Skywest Airlines - 4 CRJ700 NG (1/4/2011)
Spicejet - 15 Q400
Undisclosed 4 415 Firefighting Aircraft (3/28/2011) (Not exactly the commercial we're used to and if you guys think it shouldn't be included we can always take it out, but found it an interesting order)

Embraer
Alitalia 15 E175, 5 E190 (3/21/2011) (Through a third party leasing company (Is this a new order? Press release was unclear))
CBD Leasing - 20 - E190 + LoI for 10 more (1/10/2011. and 4/12/2011)

None so far this year that I can tell

Any other things I forgot? Thanks again for the help!

As far as I know the first 4 or so are used -500's due in a few months these will be replaced by new -600's from mid year 2012. Also these will be crewed by Skywest Airlines who are supposed to ordering additional ATR's for their own branded services.

It'll be interesting to see if the pre Paris drought holds for the regional plane manufactures. Anything I missed? Thanks for the help and the information.

Thanks for opening this thread, we are always so occupied with the A vs B order battle that it is not easy to keep up on the regional a/c order competition. Hopefully this thread will be followed up!

Might want to add the MRJ to the list in the future when, or if, any orders happen.

I would add Mitsubishi Regional Jet in your list. They firmed up 50 orders with Trans States Holdings on February 1 2011. I believe these are for the MRJ90.

I believe the first Jazz Q400 is due for delivery in the next few weeks, unless something has changed since their original plan. I note AC already has the Q400 seat map prepared but it's not yet live on the index page. You can access it if you enter Q400 in the URL instead of another aircraft type.

I believe this thread is only about 2011 regional aircraft orders. Did AC order the Q400s in 2011?

Quoting FCKC (Reply 9):

What is the point in adding the 415 to the list? It is not a regional aircraft.

As the thread title says its about aircraft built by ATR, BBD, EMB & others, no where in the OP does it say anything about it being about regional aircraft.

The CL415 is a BBD produced aircraft, so it belongs here! It's also IMHO the most interesting aircraft any of them produce!

Then why not include business jets? Embraer and Bombardier produce these as well. I still think the thread is about regional aircraft, but perhaps the thread starter can clarify.

I'd be happy if the thread included BBD & EMB business jets. They are produced by the companies named in the original post.

I'd be entirely up for putting the business jet orders in, but alas they are hard at least I've found, to track, and to find out about. The companies don't make it near as easy to track those.

The 415's, I think are just neat, and I figure these are orders for 'commercial' aircraft (that aren't private) and I figured I'd throw the 415's in. If for example Embraer got an order for their new tanker from a freight company or something I'd throw it in. BTW, on the next update I'll put in MRJ. Thanks for bringing that to my attention that I left that out.

Thanks for everyone's help!

According to airlinerlist the first 2 Virgin Australia/Skywest ATR72-500's are new frames (MSN 955 and 956) with 955 sighted on the production line at the end of March (Month and a half ago). The official press realise says up to 18 aircraft but doesn't mention anything about which model or if there swapping aircraft over so given the 500's look like they are new builds I'd assume the following 14 are -600's and they intend on operating 500 and 600 side by side. Interestingly an earlier press release mentions Skywest would be ordering aircraft of the same type separately for their own WA operations although I can't find anything further. Also if these aircraft are indeed in production I'd assume the order is little bit more then Pending although I can't find any orders
