Hi!

Would anybody care to please check out
http://www.ntv.ru/russia/04Jul2001/irkutsk_1.html and then look at the pictures on the right side of the page? Look at the pictures 3 and 4 especially. Do you see something strange? I could swear, that the company's logo cannot be seen on the slightly greenish picture (the one with the TV6 Moscow logo), yet we can clearly see it one picture higher...

Anybody got an explanation for this?

dcy.

dcy,

You have made a good observation! I looked at the pictures, and I wish I could explain it but I can't, and I would love it too if someone could. Did you also notice that the logo you see in the 3rd one you can also barely see on the 7th picture too, but not in the greenish one?

Another thing I noticed, is that it seems that the front top of the vertical stabilizer looks different between the two pictures, but that might just be the quality of the photo. Let me know what you think!

From an earlier Tu-154 crash perhaps? I mean, it's not the first one to go down. But it's safety record is quite reasonable.

Dcy you are right it is not Tu-154 it is an Il-76 that crushed in 1999 or 2000 two pilots died.

Well, the article mentions some other crashes too. The pictures are supposed to be frames of what was shown by TV, they could show something about those old crashes too...
