Apparently TK has been flying a F.C. Barcelona themed logojet for a while, but I hadn't heard of it until today, when it was advertised in Spanish sports newsmedia that the aircraft will fly the team to London for the Champions League final on May 28th.

Here is a link to one of the articles, which includes a picture of the rear of the aircraft: http://www.marca.com/2011/05/09/futbol/liga_campeones/1304938896.html

Does anyone know when the logojet was first painted, and which routes it usually flies? IST-BCN, perhaps?

Of interest they are also an official partner of Manchester United so they are sponsoring both the finalists in the Champions League.

This is probably why they posted only a photo of the rear fuselage.

Indeed! Thanks a lot for looking up the picture in the database.

IIRC they also have or had a widebody with some F.C. Barcelona titles. In any case, they do know how to pick teams to sponsor! They have probably made some money out of betting!

They should have applied the scheme for the full plane. That would have looked impressive!

It was painted more than one and half years ago I think as I saw it in March 2010 here in LED. I think it flies throughout the whole system.

I have a feeling IST-MAD is out of the question.

TK also have a 738 with the Manchester United logo, similar to the FC Barcelona jet.
