Air Canada Jazz CRJ-900 To RDU - How Long?

Can anyone tell me how long Air Canada Jazz has been using a CRJ-900 on their late afternoon flight from YYZ? I noticed this aircraft type parked at the terminal today. Was this just a sub -- or has this been going on for a while? I've only noticed CRJ-200s for as long as I can remember.

Thanks for any help.

The CR7 has been flying to RDU for several months now. I don't think Air Canada actually has CR9 so that must be a mistake. Over the summer, RDU will be 3x CR7 and that will hold until later in the winter where it goes to 2x CR7/1x CRJ.. AC must be happy with RDU (although seeing an actual Air Canada E75 would be estatic!)

It is a CRJ-705. It is a CRJ-900 frame with fewer seats

Thanks guys -- I caught it out of the corner of my eye driving under the tunnel towards the observation deck -- and when I checked at home, flightaware.com listed it at CRJ900. I appreciate all of the good info! Great to see a new aircraft to spot at RDU, even if it is still a regional jet.

Over the winter AC took the 705's that were operating to YQT and YQB and sent them to ATL and RDU. I hear this was done because AC was geting better J class loads down south then they were to YQT. Now with the Q400's coming online this month, the 705's will remain in ATL and RDU while the Q400's replace the CRJ's that were flying to YQT and YQB.
