Really? All the stuff on SkyNet says otherwise...

Props to whoever posts photos from ORD first...curious what it looks like (I've heard a lot of CO and not a lot of UA).

Don't know. But I think will be soon, even though the CO iPhone app was just updated yesterday to version 1.0.6. I'm willing to bet that the app will be renamed "United" as well come the next update.

Interesting.. I would have thought it would be easier at some of the outstations like IND, RDU, etc.. stations where terminals have just been built and the airlines are already in their "married" spot.. oh well..

Congratulations United..

UA is still operating on B and CO is still on A at IND (a leftover from the SkyTeam days at CO and their codesharing with NW).

Not sure about RDU.

There was a thread about it and I made a comment saying it made zero sense to do IAH first. Yes, it would be "easier" because the globe is already there but the point is to wipe out the old UA blue/branding as soon as possible.

RDU would be easy. There was quite a bit of a shuffle after "D" was complete. DL essentially took over the UA gates at C1/C3 or something like that which is now used mostly for the ATL flights where C15 up the hall was used for Atlanta. Also more RJs on that side of C for DL whereas they had to use the oposite side of the concourse for some of the P2P flights. CO/UA is now right next to each other if not using the same gates. I'm not 100% as I don't go on the D side.

If you have just a OnePass or Mileage Plus account, it will be converted automatically into Mileage Plus.

If you have both, you can now link your Mileage Plus and OnePass accounts at united.com or continental.com.

Makes sense to do PMUA hubs first then.

And they may be ripping out the PMUA blue, but they aren't ripping out Rhapsody in Blue.   According to the Chicago Tribune, the official music of United since 1987 is staying.

Labor aside-I'm not sure how they will work out the E-Jets and CR7s-this should be a pretty smooth merger. A/C painting is in full swing (not a big fan of the "simple" livery) rebranding has begun and I can only imagine they will be stepping up things at outstations as well shortly, along with a myrid of other integration goals. As said by many on the inside as well as industry analysts, the DL-NW merger set the standard to get things done as quickly as possible while minimizing customer interuptions. Looking back, the fact that there were separate check-in counters for HP and US so long after the merger was quite sad, along with the double websites.

On another note, I'm hearing more and more that UA may keep the split operation at ATL that they now have for the foreseeable future. As it stands, there's no way the combined company will be able to manage the entire schedule from UA's gates on T or CO's gates on D without getting more gates from someone which isn't going to happen.

Interesting, Maybe EWR, IAD, and CLE could be on T while DEN, ORD, and IAH could be on D or something of that sort.

Still, there are two options for gates and clubs long-term:
-US could move from D to T. UA could then take over the US gates, plus keep the President's/United Club on D.
-AA could move from T to D, while UA and AA could swap club locations.
