Weather related problems this afternoon which has led to ATC start up delays on up to 45 mins earlier this afternoon. Expect to see many delays and a few cancellations as the evening goes on.

T5, and a lot of canx domestic flights. I was in T3 doing a different roll and the BA desk was, lets say PACKED..

Weather now clearing but flew earlier from
EDI- LHR and had a horrible flight, moderate turbulence and heading through thunderstorms for much of the journey.

You all are getting what we here in the US have been dealing with for the last 2 weeks. All I can say is hang on. Because things are going to get worst. I live in the
DTW area and we have had over 6 inches of rain. And just about all the rivers and streams are over their banks and flooding places that have not flooded in 30 years. Good luck.
