DL leadership has stated/confirmed that with the wrap up of the 767-400s, the first 763ER will be going in for cabin mods. They are still saying they expect the type to be complete by 2013. The original plan was to gave 6? completed by the end of 2011. That was/is in jeopardy because the suppliers couldn't keep up with a T7, 764, and a 763 line added. Now, with the draw-down of TATL flying, i'm guessing there will be more than enough wiggle room to get the work done. Maybe a few extra frames will be done if we're lucky.

For those that missed or or just want a re-cap:

-All 77Es and 77Ls in the fleet have full flat beds.
-All 764s in the active fleet have full flatbeds.

77E and 77L BE Seat

Weber Cirrus Flatbed Suite in a herringbone configuration.

764 BE Seat

Thompson Vantage Flatbed Seats.

The 763ERs will be getting the same seats as the 764. Also, as a side note, the A330s and 747s will also be getting the Weber Cirrus Flatbed Suites but in a reverse herringbone config. (window suites face the window and center-aisle seats are turned inward as well).

Stock vids below on what the 777 and 764 seats look like.

They originally were planning to have the 7 76Ts completed by summer 2011...

Actually, I believe two 77Es are still in mods (N864DA and N867DA).

All 764s however, have been completed and are flying their full schedules now:

JFK-LHR (3x daily)
JFK-MAD
JFK-NCE
JFK-VCE
JFK-MXP
JFK-SVO (now thru June 13)
BOS-LHR
MIA-LHR
MSP-LHR
ATL-LHR (11x weekly)
ATL-MAD
ATL-FRA
ATL-MUC
ATL-GRU
DTW-LHR (10x weekly)
DTW-FRA

I thought N1608 was the first 763ER to go into flat-bed mods and has been out of service in ATL since last November according to Flightaware...

The 777 seat is not the Weber Cirrus, it is the Contour Solar Suite. However, the 744s and A330s will get the Weber Cirrus.

You're actually correct. I should have said active fleet as all flying revenue pax are complete. That's how it was worded in the write-up as well.

I may very well still be over there but nothing has been done on it yet. However, it will be the first back once mods start.

Thank you! I get the two confused. I told people over and over that the customer feedback stated that they prefer the seats to face inward and towards the window (which is why they changed vendors on the A330s and 744s).

By July, the 764 that does JFK-VCE will be on ATL-FCO instead.

BTW, does anyone know about the overhead bin mods on the 763ER fleet? After all, DL did state they plan on updating the overhead bins, and that the interior will look similar to the 764ER fleet. Will these 763ER mods include the new overhead bins? Also, will the bins be pivot or shelf bins? (I know that I once saw a rendering of a 744 interior concept with pivot bins, however, I don't know if this also applies to the 763ER)

I guess it's a waiting game now! I'm not sure how long the cabin mods take but i'm guessing about a month? We shall see soon enough.

Considering UA/CO will be getting factory-fresh 787s next year with the most modern interiors and A350s only 4 years later, I sure hope Delta puts in the most overhead bins available.

Is there a "mood" LED lighting option in 767's with Signature Interior?

The mood lighting option is independent of the overall interior style. Air Canada has mood lighting on their 767s even though they still have the original interiors (see below). However, seeing that Delta didn't put it on the new build 777s, I wouldn't expect to see it appear on the refurbished 767s either.
