More bad news for the industry if it becomes a reality that a worldwide CO2 tax is placed on jet fuel (also shipping fuel)
The article doesn't state how much the levy would be or how the revenue would be used to reduce "global warming". the report would be presented to the G20 finance minister in October.

That seems stupid. With the current weather phenomina, it amazes me that we can still talk about global warming. I think its time that we show these governments who really is boss and stop paying taxes. Do these people enjoy recessions and printing funny money to continue bailing out failed enterprises? Or printing funny money to continue funding unemployment? Higher taxes are good for nobody, but these geniuses either don't care or they don't get it. Maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but I believe there are more important things we need to be after before we start going after fuel. Why not get on these landfills who waste all of that methane gas that can be used to reduce the use of fossil fuels, but no, they just bury it with dirt and new sod........just my $.02
