Real quick question, and I am almost embarrassed to open a thread to ask this, but I noticed the last couple of times through MSP gates C8-C10 are getting construction work done on the tarmac which has made these gates inoperative. Since the HP days, US has always RON'ed an airplane or two over there in addition to their two gates on the E concourse. Since there is no gate space left on E, what is US doing to RON their other MSP airplane?
Throughout the est of the day they use E1, E2, and E4. I walked down E concourse yesterday and saw no one RONs at E1. I think this is because the Airbus wont fit there. I have seen US use the gate for E170s to PHL.
Other RONs excluding E concourse include UA at C4 and AA at the end of F concourse
