Afternoon all,

I saw what looked to be a Qatar 777/A330 flying over Surrey. Looked like it was turning base for runway 24 at Farnborough (FAB)

We normally see these aircraft going in and out of heathrow but not at this height. Guessing 2000ft. At around 17:10 Local time.

Cheers

Thanks for the info. Not sure how i managed to get the aircraft type so incorrect.

May i ask why they were flying in there? Is it a regular scheduled service?

According to flightradar24 it was A7-AAG, an A320 belonging to Qatar Amiri Flight, inbound direct from DOH.

These aircraft are for the exclusive use of the Qatari Royal Family and senior government officials, so that will be the reason it was headed to FAB, probably some sort of meeting going on.
