Looking at the Omni 777 on the front page (looks great btw), I was curious as to what routes they will be flying. Is Omni going to introduce any new routes or is the 777 there as more of a cargo beast for the troops than the range?

I would assume that it will be used for the military charters, but considering that during certain times of the year they've put their DC-10s on the HNL-LAS flights that operate on behalf of Vacations Hawaii, I wouldn't be surprised if they use it on that route (I know they did spend some time in recent weeks doing proving runs with it out of LAS, but to where, I do not know.).
Considering OAI is a charter airline, I don't see them start up any sort of scheduled service and anything they may add would be something they were contracted to operate on behalf of someone like a travel company or a wet lease deal to provide temporary lift for another airline.

LAS has been notified by Omni to expect the 772 in regular service by September of this year. Of course things can change but preparations have already begun at LAS to determine RON parking and other logistical issues in having this aircraft based there. RON parking is not tight at LAS now, but in September when the D-ramp reconstruction begins it is going to be extremely limited across the entire airport. Mainly due to G4's 19 MD80's on the ground at night.

And eventually, I believe the 777s, if they can find enough of them, will replace Omni's DC-10s. My son-in-law is currently flying DC-10s for them (right seat), Mideast and Europe, but hopes to get on the 777, eventually.

Forgive my stupidity, but I can't find an airport with this code.
KWI. They are using the plane on the R&R flight. One night Omni flies it, the next night is World.
My old crashpad roommate is a DC-10 captain for Omni, and he said that they took the crew rest loft out of the airplane. They are using 4 man crews on these runs with coach seats to rest in.
