Interesting article. Some of my comments.

- ET's profits doubted. Indeed, ET's books are not audited by a real outside entity (only by a government audit arm) but AR is at: http://www.ethiopianairlines.com/en/corporate/annualreport.aspx
- NBO security iffy: Is that seen as a real issue? I recall the DL canceled its plans to fly there due to US govt security concerns.
- Not enough growth to go around: I was under the impression that the SAA-MS-ET initiative is primarily to pull resources together and spread the risk/reward amongst the alliance members. And the next paragraph speaks the other major reason: to improve safety and maintenance.
- Arik Air as a budge airline: Really?

what are your thoughts?

IMHO, that article just talks about what we take as general knowledge, as an article. Nothing new. Calling Arik as a budget carrier clears that. And if they wanted to name a carrier whose future is uncertain, that should've been Arik, not ET.
