Hmm, initially thought the CZ A380 would look good, but I must say it looks a bit off. The cheatline brings out the bulbous nose of the A380! They could have made the titles larger as well, but in any case, I still can't wait to see it flying.

Looks good. Likely not as well suited as the livery on its other planes , but still works well enough.

Looks good though the China Southern titles could have been a bit bigger IMO.

I really like it. As I said in the production thread the nose section reminds me of a BOAC B 747 (maybe that's why I like it). The dark-blue and golden cheatlines work very well together, looks very elegant.

That's true - looks a little bit like a waste of space not using the white area between the two lines of windows. Didn't SQ modify their A 380 livery to have bigger titles?

This aging livery (not a bad livery, but a rather oldfashioned one) is not very nuch suited for the A380. That the lower light blue stripe ends in the wingbox isnt good, and that the lage Chinese letters are positioned in front of the smaller Laitin writing works against the shape of the plane, it should have been the other way around.
The KE livery last week works perfect for the A380, this one here doesnt.

The livery is interesting for sure. I am not disliking it, and I am still thinking about how much I like it.  .

I think that one can be described as "businesslike" and indeed, tail aside, has an almost governmental/VIP feel about it

Yes they did, but I'm not such a fan of huge titles. I actually like CZ's size of the titles, it's more subtle.

That I do agree with you. Perhaps they've got it right on the other side of the plane?

It's amazing how far the titles stretch town the fuselage.

Also, while not a fan of the CZ livery normally, I rather like it on the 380. And I agree; it makes the nose look less bulky.

What routes and destinations can we expect to see the CZ A380 in the first year? Will they eventually make the current double-daily flights CAN-SYD-CAN to a single-daily A380 service?
As for the topic in question, yes I agree that the Chinese Characters are larger, and yes the English could have been bigger too.

I would have thought a transpacific route would see the A380 first of all.

If it is Paris, I suppose CZ will be able to use AF's A380 airbridges at CDG's T2. I believe KE is doing likewise when its A380 comes to CDG next September.

My very first thought of this plane's livery was "oh nice they gave the Beluga some colour". Honestly, the nose looks odd. That is not to say that I don't like it. It is... well, interesting.

I think that's not by chance, since most people flying CZ (or so I suppose) are Chinese nationals who value Chinese letters more than latin ones.
