Had the opportunity to ride the UA Caravelle between ORD - SFO with a stop in DEN for fuel a couple of times. What a great ride. Normally the Caravelle didn't operate west of OMA, but for checks they would be substituted on flights to SFO. Would like to find some shots of the aircraft in DEN and/or SFO.
Grew up in the business and continued the family tradition.

ORD had quite the number of Caravelle flights, usually eastward to CLE and on.
In 1974 there was a Caravelle white tail with UA numbers sitting on the ramp close to the Frontier maintenance hangar. I got to walk through it. It was quite an aircraft with those triangular windows and racks of tube radios behind the pilots & engineer. It was a one class cabin. While I never got a chance to ride on one, I do remember they were loud, as loud as the BAC 111 without a hushkit.
