I just took a flight from CVG to LGW in DL business elite service and I was amazed at the room and service compared to domestic first. What I want to know is how business elite stacks up against the other international carriers premium products/business class. Is it a good value? Is the service comprable? Are other airlines roomier or have nicer seats? I had to get up out of my seat to reach the seat back pocket in front of me. I really liked it.

The seats pitch in Delta BizElite is one of the best in the industry since they only offer a two class service, but LanChile also offers a very good seat pitch in Biz, even though they offer a 3 class service, since I too had to "get up out of my seat to reach the seat back pocket in front of me."

Service is certainly comparable......
AC with their executive First Class.......
CO with their Business First
probably UA with their new Biz product......
I have flown Biz Elite 4 times and on the 763 I was very dissapointed about the seat width......much narrower than on the M11 or 777....it's only 18.3inches just a little bit wider than the coach seat, nevertheless seat pitch is great, no questions asked.....and service hmmmm, nothing beats SIA's hospitality.......

The only way to make th 18.5" pax width on the 767-300ER any wider is to reduce to a 2x1x2 config in seats abreast. Regardless, the 18.5" width isn't really anything to be dissappointed about unless ofcourse you're over 300 lbs. (This is not meant to be a slam against larger framed people, its just a fact)

In my opinion the business elite class offered by Delta is much more superior then any other airlines business class. It infact is better then Oylimpic Airlines first class. I flown JFK-ATH on both airlines and Delta was much much much much much much better!!

I still think that 6-abreast seating notwhithstanding on their 763s, Delta's Bizfirst product is one of the best Business Class products in the sky today. The seat may be narrower than a typical First Class seat, but it more than makes up for it by the lumbar support, recline, etc. The food is excellent without being stuffy and pretentious. As far as BizElite not being comparable to a high end product offered by 3-class airlines, I have to disagree. The only difference is that the seat doesnt flip out flat. But for a biz class product, you pay considerably less than for a First Class seat.
